VTuber Assets User Guide

Importing items to VTube StudioFirst, locate VTube Studio's "Items" folder on your computer. To import a PNG item, move the PNG file inside VTube Studio's "Items" folder.Live2D items may be contained in multiple files. Make sure all of the item's files are contained inside a folder, then move the folder inside VTube Studio's "Items" folder.

Basic Item SettingsTo access VTube Studio's Items menu, first open the left-hand menu by double-clicking or double-tapping anywhere on the screen.

You can then open the Items menu by clicking or tapping on the star button. After you select the item you want to use, you can adjust the options for that instance of the item.

"Item Order" refers to which layer the item is placed on. Higher numbers are in front, and lower numbers are in back."Pin item to Live2D model" will cause the item to move with your model as if it were pinned on like a button.Item ControlsDouble-clicking/tapping an item will "lock" it in place, so you don't accidentally move it. You can unlock all items by clicking on the rotating star/lock button in the left-hand menu.Clicking/tapping and dragging an item will move it.Scrolling or pinching the item allows you to resize it.Scrolling while holding the CTRL key, or pinching on mobile, allows you to rotate the item.On PC, clicking on an item while holding the CTRL key will flip the image. (You may have to use the "Flip Image" setting on mobile to achieve this.)When pinning an item to a model, the "pin" location is tied to the spot on the item where it was "picked up" when dragging and the spot on the model where it was "dropped."Additional Live2D Item Settings

When adjusting the settings of a Live2D Item, you should see the "Configure/Finetune Live2D Item" button, which allows you to access more settings.

By using the "Range Adjustment" sliders, you can increase or decrease the range of motion on the item. A smaller number means a smaller range. This is useful in situations where an item is moving too much or too little and looks unnatural with your model's movements. You can also adjust the color of Live2D items, but make sure you have permission from the asset creator to do so.

You can see the individual "parts" of the item and adjust their color separately by checking the checkbox on the left of each listed part. You can click or tap the eyeball icon on the right of each listed part if you aren't sure which part is which; this will cause the appropriate part on the item to blink briefly, making it easier to identify. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding this guide, please contact me on one of my socials below!
